Newspaper Slap

Form of organisation: entire group

Materials: newspaper or magazine or similar,

Description of the game:

For this acquaintance game, the group forms a circle, with one member of the youth group or scout group being placed in the centre. Then a name is called and the person in the middle must slap the named person with the newspaper as quickly as possible. If successful, the person in the centre will be replaced. If he is not successful before the named player called out a different name before he is slapped, the “newspaper slapper” must remain in the middle. Each name may only be called once throughout the entire game. This group match is further complicated by the fact that the members of the scouts or youth groups do not know each other.
